🏆 A Hard-Fought Win!

Team Troopers travelled to Ingolstadt for the final away match of the season on a rainy, gloomy day. After winning the toss, BATCC opted to bat first.

Our regular openers started brightly, racing to 22 runs in just 2.3 overs before Rohit was dismissed. Sanjeev joined Sasi and together they added a solid 30-run partnership and took the score to 51 Runs in 12.1 overs. Unfortunately, Sasi was undone by an uneven bounce, and wickets began tumbling at regular intervals.

At 105/7 in 23.1 overs, the innings looked shaky. But a quick-fire 15 runs from Moynul alongside Sanjeev steadied the side briefly. Sanjeev played a fighting knock, scoring 59 runs, and helped push the total to a respectable 143 all out.

🎯 Bowling Performance

The second innings was all about BATCC’s bowlers. Moynul set the tone with two early breakthroughs, reducing the opposition to 2 down for 19. However, INCC-II recovered well, reaching 60/2 by 12.5 overs.

At that point, the momentum seemed to slip, but Rohit—playing his last match of the season—was brought into the attack. Rising to the captain’s expectations, he produced crucial breakthroughs that swung the match back in our favor.

From there, Avi Patel’s brilliant wicketkeeping and Essa’s pressure kept INCC-II on the back foot. Vineep and Rajesh chipped in with tidy spells, while our AAA battery Abdul delivered with his pace and accuracy, cleaning up the tail to seal a 25-run victory.

💥 Match-Turning Moment

The opposition was cruising at 89/3 in 27.3 overs, needing only 50 runs with 7 wickets in hand. But disciplined bowling, sharp fielding, and never-say-die spirit from Team Troopers turned the game around. Truly one of the most memorable matches of the season!

This victory not only highlighted our team’s resilience but also secured our place in next year’s Regional Liga. Congratulations, Team!

Avi Patel was awarded MOM for his outstanding wicket-keeping.
However, the team’s success was built on combined efforts—Sanjeev, Moynul, Avi, Abdul, and Rohit all deserve huge applause for stepping up when it mattered most.
